ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS - In order to qualify for "Teen News: Video Journalist Contest", Entrants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• No purchase necessary.
• One valid entry per contestant.
• Entrants must be 13-17 years of age at time of submitting their entry.
• Entrants must be legally residing within the KRXI broadcast area (see broadcast map).
• If selected as a Finalist, Entrant must be present at the Fox11 studio (4920 Brookside Court, Reno, NV 89502) from 3-5PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
• Employees of KRXI-TV, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.

HOW TO ENTER

• All Entries must be submitted through foxreno.com or FOX 11 Facebook page.
  
• Click on the Contests Icon and follow the on-screen directions to provide the required information and upload your Entry video.

WHAT TO SUBMIT FOR ENTRY

• A 60-90 second "News Report" video on a single topic, event or issue
• Entrant must appear on camera in at least 20% of the video
• Entries must not be a violation of State or Federal law
• Entries must not contain any material that violates any FCC guideline for broadcast television

ENTRY TIMELINE

• Entry Acceptance Begins: Friday, April 19, 2013 at 5:00PM
• Entry Deadline: Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:59PM
• Finalist's entries will be announced and aired May 13-15, 2013 – during the Fox11 11PM News broadcast

ENTRANT CONFIDENTIALITY

• Entrant, their family and or legal guardians agree not to discuss or disclose in any way the voting/selection results at any stage of the Contest until after they have been announced on the KRXI broadcast. Failure to abide by this confidentiality provision is grounds for disqualification from the Contest and would constitute substantial damage to KRXI and Sponsors and result in possible legal action.

PUBLIC VOTING RULES

• All voting must take place through the contest tab in Facebook
• Each Facebook profile is permitted to cast a maximum of three (3) votes per day. Votes may be cast for more than one Entrant.
• Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
• Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

VOTING TIMELINE

• Preliminary voting opens: Friday, April 19, 2013 at 5:00PM
• Preliminary voting closes: Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 11:59PM
  • Finalists will be determined by Public voting, per stated rules
• Finalist voting opens: Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 12:00AM
• Finalist voting closes: Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:59PM
  • The Grand Place Winner will be determined by a combined vote: 50% public vote and 50% professional judging panel.

GRAND PRIZE - Winner will be announced on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 – during the Fox11 11PM News

• The Grand Prize Winner will receive:
  • Broadcast of four (4) weekly news packages
  • Professional mentoring
  • Summer internship at Fox11
  • Other prizes and selected by KRXI
• KRXI-TV reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

GENERAL

• KRXI reserves the right to the final determination of what airs on the station. By submitting an entry, all entrants, their family members and/or any legal representative thereby do agree to hold KRXI, it's employees, all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the contest in perpetuity. KRXI also reserves that right to cancel the competition for any reason and in doing so, will not be responsible to awards any prizes, credit or compensation.
• By submitting an entry, all entrants, their family members and/or any legal representative thereby do agree to allow KRXI or it's assigns to use any and all video, print, photos or other media collected, as well as the Entrant's name and city during the contest for the purposes of promoting the contest, future contests, and/or the station in the pursuit of its marketing or promotion.
• Any Entrant who fails to meet any part of the terms of the contest may be, at KRXI's sole discretion, summarily disqualified from the competition.
• The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or KRXI-TV. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly
• prohibited.
• UPICKEM and KRXI-TV are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
• Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9 if applicable. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
• This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
• KRXI-TV reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
• This contest is void where prohibited by law.
• This contest is officially sponsored by KRXI-TV.
